Doreen Stelling

I spent 20 years on staff with Cru, an international discipleship ministry, and the last 13 as an independent certified spiritual director. I received my training through Audire School of Spiritual Direction in Central Florida. Throughout my life I have worshiped in a variety of denominations which has given me the experience to meet people where they are spiritually. My sessions are one on one and small groups. Personally, I believe in developing rhythms in life that create space to discern God’s voice, discover His love and enjoy the beauty of His creation.

Dave Stelling

I practiced as a licensed mental health counselor for almost 20 years, after receiving my masters degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. Prior to that, I worked 20 years in vocational discipleship leadership on staff with Cru. I now offer spiritual direction and discipleship to men and women individually, in small groups, through personal retreats and speaking engagements. I believe these are opportunities for transformation, relationally and spiritually. In the loneliness of relational pain, anxiety, depression, addictive behaviors, and questions of life you can find an increasing awareness of God through our time together.

At that point in my life the quiet prayerful reflection time that spiritual direction offered became the perfect antidote for the healing places needed for my spirit, body and soul. Since that time, spiritual direction has become a permanent practice in my life to not only help me through difficult times but also to help my faith continue to grow and mature. Every time I meet for a spiritual direction session, literally the Lord brings ‘water to my soul.’ It is so true how much we need a mature spiritual friend in our lives to help us journey with God in our very noisy and busy world. I currently meet with Doreen. Not only is she a very kind and entreatable spiritual director, I find her to be wise, intuitive, discerning, creative, and a caring focused listener.”
